This tutorial assumes two things:

• You have Windows installed as your Operating System
• Your default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley

If the second is not the case, please refer to the "My situation differs" tutorial!

Step 1: Install SMAPI+

Download the modpack.zip from the Downloads page, then unpack it. You'll see that it has the following folders:

• Mods
• SMAPI 4.5.1 installer

Go to "SMAPI 4.5.1 installer" and click on "install on Windows.bat" (or, if not Windows, the operating system listed)

Follow the instructions given on the screen.

You should now be on this screen, note that it installed the Console Commands mod automatically, we'll deal with that in step 3.

Continue to step 2, setting the launch options.

Step 2: Set the Launch Options+

In order to set Launch Options for a game, we'll need to go your Steam Library and search for Stardew Valley. When you're on the game page for Stardew Valley, you'll see the gear icon on the right side of the page.

Click on the gear icon and a menu will appear, click on Properties, and a new Window will open.

Your Properties Window should look like the image below and on the bottom of that window you'll see "Launch Options".

Copy the following command precisely into the Launch Options box:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\StardewModdingAPI.exe" %command%

Continue to Step 3, removing Console Commands and installing the mods.

Step 3: Removing Console Commands and Installing the Mods+

Whilst you're on the Properties Window, go to "Installed Files" and click on "Browse".

A window will now open with the installation files of the game as seen below.

Make sure you navigate to "Mods" and remove the folder titled "Console Commands" from the mod list.

Go back to the Modpack folder you created in Step 1, copy all the mods from there to the Mods folder above. Your /mods folder should look like this:

In order to connect to the server go to Main Menu -> Co-Op -> LAN -> Fill in the IP found in the pinned messages on Discord, and enjoy playing!

If you're not new to modding I will assume you already know the basics of installing SMAPI and the launch options SMAPI asks you to set.

Search for Stardew Valley in your Steam Library, click on the gear icon on the right side of the game page, and go to Properties.

Next go to "Installed Files" and click on "Browse" to automatically navigate to the installation path of Stardew Valley.

Go to your Mods folder. Make sure that the Mods in your /mods folder are exactly the same as below.

You've chosen this tutorial because your situation differs than the assumed. In that case, I will try my best to help you with this tutorial. The assumed scenario is:

• Your default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley

In order to find out where you installed the game, we have to go to the game page of Stardew Valley. You can do this by searching for Stardew Valley in your library. Now click on the Gear Icon on the right side of the screen and go to Properties.

In the Properties Window, go to Installed Files and click on Browse.

The installation path will now open in your default filebrowser. If using Explorer, you can click to the right of "Stardew Valley" in the path navigator bar. When you do, you are able to modify the navigation path or copy the entire path easily.

Copy the entire path and replace "ADDYOURFULLPATHHERE" with the entire path you just copied.

"ADDYOURFULLPATHHERE\StardewModdingAPI.exe" %command%
